The Elk Horn is a family-owned business we bought in 2001. Like many present Cooke City residents, we came from different locales, but once here, it captivated us, and we knew we'd be back to stay. Suzy is originally from Virginia and discovered the Cooke City area while working at Canyon Village as a college student. Jason, while living in Wyoming, visited Cooke City on a snowmobile outing, met Suzy and together, they found a way to make Cooke City their year-round home.
